The Italian struggled through injuries for several years, hampering his playing time for Genoa and Juventus. So far, he has played more Serie A games for Juventus this season than in the whole of last campaign, despite being only eight rounds in.

Perin has spent the majority of his playing career with Genoa, having stints with Padova and Pescara. He joined Juventus in 2018, going back on loan to Il Grifone 18 months later. He returned from loan in the summer of 2021, playing 16 competitive games for the Bianconeri since.
