Sarri Plans Lazio “Revolution” with Bumper Transfer Window

Italian media outlet Il Messaggero indicates a ‘revolution’ at Lazio next season as coach Maurizio Sarri looks to change the outlook of his team ahead of 2022/23 with new faces. The Biancocelesti management, headed by sporting director Igli Tare and president Claudio Lotito, foresee a strong summer market for the club.

The report relayed by FCInter1908 suggests three targets in the radar of Roman club, who can virtually be brought in with the sale of star midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic for around the €70m mark, despite one of those targets being available for free.

Everton midfielder Allan is said to be ready to leave Merseyside for a reunion with former coach Sarri, under whom he played during his five-season stint with Napoli from 2015 to 2020. Two unsuccessful years with Everton has poised the Brazilian midfielder to return to the country where he propelled in a starter. Inter centre-half Matias Vecino is another target in Sarri’s sights.

When it comes to reinforcing his frontline for a deputy alongside club legend Ciro Immobile, Inter loanee Andrea Pinamonti, who is currently having his best goalscoring season at Empoli, is the one Lazio are keeping tabs on.

The Italy U21 international is bound to return to Inter ahead of the 2022/23 season.

Lazio currently sit in 7th place, tied on 56 points with Fiorentina. The Biancocelesti seek to finish in the top-six, but overcoming a strong Viola side will prove hard as the end of the season appraoches.
