For the second in the space of two weeks, Milan players have been on the receiving end of racial abuse – this time during the game against Juventus that ended in a 1-1 draw. Evidence has emerged of Rossoneri goalkeeper Mike Maignan being referred to by his skin colour by few fans during the pre-match warm up at the Allianz Stadium.
The sour incident came into light when video of the incident started circulating online on social media, on twitter in particular.
? Some Juventus fans racially abused Mike Maignan during the warm-ups last night. Disgusting behaviour – the culprits must be found.

The shotstopper is seen practicing right before kick-off, when a fan behind the goal is heard shouting “Negro, negro..” and other rude slurs.
It is not understood if the incident has reached the concerned relevant authorities but as the video makes its rounds online, we can only hope that both clubs are aware of the incident and an official complaint is lodged at the earliest.
Earlier on 12th September, when Lazio visited the San Siro, Tiemoue Bakayoko received abusive chants from the away section of fans who didn’t stop singing impudently. Apparently even midfield talisman Franck Kessie was racially abused.
An official complaint was lodged and the Biancocelesti are bound to be fined by the FIGC.
It remains to be seen how this recent incident at Allianz Stadium plays out.
