Milan About to Come to Terms with Chelsea for Pulisic

Milan are close to completing their second acquisition of the summer from Chelsea, as they are on the verge of striking a deal to onboard Christian Pulisic. The Rossoneri raised their offer and brought it to €20M plus add-ons. The sum is very close to the counterparty’s demands, Sky informs.

The Italian side is just waiting for the Blues’ final greenlight at this point. The negotiation could be concluded in a hurry, and the winger could land in Italy before the start of the pre-season preparation next week. He was instrumental in the deal as he reportedly turned down a move to Olympique Lyonnais, who had put more money on the table.

If everything goes well, Pulisic will join his former teammate Chelsea teammate Ruben Loftus-Cheek in Milan. He’ll look to bounce back after a rough season where he scored just one gal in 30 appearances. He missed extended time with a knee injury.

The 24-year-old has been in London since 2019 after being acquired from Borussia Dortmund. He has tallied 26 goals and 21 assists in 145 appearances with the Blues.

Our Take on Milan and Pulisic

He’s a nice reclamation project, and his versatility will be useful. On the other hand, despite their reduced role, Chelsea aren’t exactly giving away their outcasts. The Rossoneri could have purchased a true starlet with what they’ll end up paying for him and Loftus-Cheek.
