Milan are unlikely to sign Benjamin Sesko due to his rapidly increasing valuation but might turn to another Bundesliga striker to fill their hole at the no.9 position, Serhou Guirassy. There is €17.5M release clause in his contract, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.
At this stage, he’s the third man on their shortlist behind Joshua Zirkzee and the RB Leipzig prodigy. He has had a tremendous campaign, hitting the net 30 times in as many appearances across all competitions. He has also dished four assists.
On the other hand, Guirassy is 28 and demands lofty wages from Milan and his other suitors. His next contract might be the final huge one of his career, and he was a late bloomer. He asks for at least €5M per year. It’s not a big issue for Premier League sides.
Instead, the Rossoneri have more reservations since they reach those levels only for their stars who have been with them for a few years. Splurging on a newcomer salary-wise could cause some problems in the locker room and fuel the requests of other players.
