Milan and Inter ‘Preferred Destinations’ for Alcaraz

Inter and Milan have laid their eyes on Carlos Alcaraz, but they need to step up their efforts to sign him in January because the young midfielder is in high demand. His agent Sebastian Lopez took stock of the race to onboard him to TuttoSport.

“I talked with their executives in the summer, as they were tracking him. Then the Rossoneri signed Charles De Ketelaere, who was already playing in Europe. I think that affected their final decision. The Nerazzurri continue to monitor him, and their deputy director Dario Baccin recently visited South America.”

Lopez talked up his client.

“His best feature is his winning and never-give-up mentality. He’s a box-to-box midfielder, he likes to cut and generally creates more than one chance per game. He’s strong in the air and a good shooter and passer. Nothing scares him. He has a strong personality and believes in his skills. He doesn’t shy away from responsibilities, even though he plays next to teammates that have two or three hundred appearances more than he does.”

The representative stated that Inter and Milan are currently trailing in the busy fray for Alcaraz.

“We have an option in England and another one in Portugal. We haven’t talked with officials of the two Serie A sides recently. They are clearly very important clubs and our preferred destinations. The Nerazzurri, maybe considering what Diego Milito and Lautaro Martinez did, are particularly interested. His price tag is around €15M, maybe less with a re-sale clause. I don’t personally know Facundo Colidio, but in Argentina everybody is certain that Racing want to acquire him after his excellent season with Tige. He could be part of the deal.”
