Milan and Juventus Interested in Pursuing Marseille Talent

Italian giants Milan and Juventus are set to battle one another off the field in the transfer market for the on boarding of one certain Olympique de Marseille talent.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Boubacar Kamara is the young midfielder of interest.

The 21-year-old is one of France’s upcoming talents who is still playing in Ligue 1 – just like AS Monaco duo Aurelien Tchouameni and Benoit Badiashile & Olympique Lyonnais couple Rayan Cherki and Houssem Aouar.

All of the aforementioned names are of interest to Serie A clubs and reportedly, Kamara is on top of the list. His versatility to operate in the defensive backline along with his traditional central midfield role has been noticed by scouts of top clubs.

Kamara’s contract in Marseille expires at the end of the current season, but contract renewal talks haven’t gained much pace. According to L’Equipe, Marseille have offered him a two-year contract extension but his stance on a renewal deal is unsure and even more so after an attempted robbery at his home in Marseille recently.

He was pursued actively by Newcastle United in the previous window but their €14m bid was too low. Marseille president Pablo Longoria also offered him to Wolves on deadline day – but all to the dismay of the player.

It looks highly likely that he will leave south of France for greener pastures in the 2022 summer transfer window.
