Milan and Juventus on High Alert for Atletico Madrid Legend

Saul Niguez’s unfortunate fate at Chelsea is touted to bring about a domino effect that might just see Milan or Juventus bag one of Atletico Madrid’s best players. That name is captain and midfield ace Koke. The outlandish claims have already caused a lot of ‘noise’ in Spain.

Saul has become an outcast this season under Thomas Tuchel, going on to notch just 6 appearances in the Premier League and 20 overall across all competitions.

There are reports of Atletico’s interest in luring him back to the Wanda Metropolitano on loan for the rest of next season, according to El Gol Digital (via Calciomercato.it). Chelsea however, do have an option to buy the midfielder – a privilege that is unlikely to be exercised.

Koke on the other hand, is being touted for move to Serie A, if Atletico do proceed to see him through. The report mentions of coach Diego Simeone and the club management to be in tandem regarding the decision to offload the longstanding Colchoneros legend, who is currently in his 13th season at the club.

The two clubs to have been alerted are Juventus and Milan, with both the giants looking to reinforce their midfield prowess. The Spaniard is worth €40m and see his contract in the Spanish capital expire only in the summer of 2024.
