Milan and Napoli Set Sights on Sassuolo Talisman

Sassuolo youth product Domenico Berardi has been veiled in the transfer market recently, first by the move of Manuel Locatelli to Juventus and now by Gianluca Scamacca’s potential deal with Inter at the end of season. The EURO 2020 star’s prolific performances have pushed him to become one of Serie A’s most impressive midfielders in the last few years.

The 27-year-old is now attracting interest from two Italian giants – Milan and Napoli – two clubs that have been linked with him in the past. Neroverdi president has already conceded that it will hard for the Emilia-Romagna club to hold on to their best players, with the handful of elite clubs around making their interest known.

Both the Rossoneri and Partenopei should be willing to part ways with at least €35m – the asking price by CEO Giovanni Carnevali, as disclosed by La Repubblica (via MilanNews). He is contracted until June 2024.

Berardi has been in scintillating for his boyhood club this season, providing 14 assists and scoring 12 goals in 27 appearances across all competitions.

Overall, he has 112 goals in 318 caps for the Neroverdi.
