Milan and Napoli have set sights on Ferdi Kadioglu, who’s been playing at Fenerbahce since 2018. He probably wouldn’t be too expensive considering his low wages, but it remains to be seen whether his side will let him go in January, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.
The 23-year-old can feature all over the pitch. He can star as a right winger, a box-to-box, and even as a fullback on either flank, as he has done lately. He got his start at NEC Nijmegen before transferring to Turkey. Over recent seasons, he has amassed 120 appearances and 10 goals over the years. The Rossoneri are particularly keen because he’s a modern and versatile player, like few others on their squad.
His father Feyzullah Kadiouglu specifically mentioned Milan and Napoli in a recent interview.
“They got in touch with us, and the interest from top clubs is pleasing. Fenerbahce are our priority, and he wants to win here. However, if the team gives us the greenlight, we will weigh our transfer market options.”
According to the publication, it would take around €10M to acquire him. The Rossoneri are after Hakim Ziyech as well, but they need him to agree to a considerable pay cut to join.
Our Take on Milan and Napoli Eyeing Kadioglu
Milan have a fairly similar player, Alexis Saelemaekers, who’s about to come back from injury. The Scudetto winners probably won’t make additions in January, and if they do, they’ll go after more inventive contributors. Instead, he could be an interesting profile for Napoli. They have started to look around for a fullback that could occasionally relieve Giovanni Di Lorenzo. They aren’t very deep, and the Turk could get minutes in other positions too.
