Milan and Roma Tracking Barcelona Youngster

Even though the summer transfer market is still few months away, all the big players are already plotting for their next moves. As always, Italian clubs will be hoping to sign some exciting talents without having to pay too much money. Therefore Francisco Trincao represents a golden opportunity, one that Milan and Roma will try to seize.

According to Calciomercato, both Serie A clubs are interested in the signature of the young Portuguese player who is finding little playing time at Barcelona.

Since completing his move from Braga to the Catalan side last summer ( for 31 million euros), the youngster only made two starts in La Liga this season, as the vast majority of his appearances came from the bench. He contributed in 3 goals and 2 assists in the league this season.

The report claims that Blaugrana manager Ronald Koeman strongly believes in the player’s talent, and considers him to be a future pillar for the club.

Nonetheless, Trincao needs to play more regularly, which is why he could be sent on loan towards Milan or Roma.

The Rossoneri have identified the right wing position as one that needs to be enhanced for next season, with Lucas Vazquez – whose contract with Real Madrid expires at the end of the season – being another player tracked by Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara.

On the other hand, the Gialorossi shockingly announced the arrival of José Mourniho who will take over the capital club starting next season. With a Portuguese coach at the helm, Trincao could be tempted to join the Roman project – even if just for a short loan spell.

The 21-year-old mainly operates as a right winger, but can also be deployed on the opposing flank, or even as an attacking midfielder.
