Milan to Break UCL Gate Record in First EuroDerby Leg

Milan and Inter are set to take each other on in the UEFA Champions League semi-final tomorrow, in what is a clash suspected to draw the eyeballs of the world. San Siro is officially sold out for the first leg, meaning the historic stadium will be graced to its full capacity by Rossoneri fans. The return match in a week will offer Inter a chance to better their brotherly rivals.

As per MilanNews, the proceeds from ticket revenue are expected to increase over €10M, beating the €9.1M record set during Milan’s first leg victory against Tottenham Hotspur in the Round of 16 stage.

The main reason is obviously the higher prices due to the sheer magnitude of the clash, as the Rossoneri and Nerazzurri prepare to meet in Europe for the first time in almost two decades.

Inter are expected to break Milan’s record in the return leg next week.
