Milan Chasing After Real Valladolid Starlet Fresneda

Milan are interested in Ivan Fresneda but face plenty of competition to onboard the talented fullback. He has a €20M release clause in his contract, but the suitors will try to sign him for less considering Real Valladolid’s relegation.

According to Sportitalia, the Rossoneri initiated contact with the player’s camp. He recently switched agents and is represented by Fali Ramadani now. He’s very well-connected in Serie A and contributed to the upcoming signing of Luka Romero, who’s expected to join Il Diavolo as a free agent in the next few days.

Milan are rivaling fellow Italian clubs and a few La Liga ones, especially Barcelona, Mundo Deportivo relays. Borussia Dortmund are keen too. The 18-year-old burst onto the scenes in the past 18 months and has collected 22 appearances in the Spanish championship.

He’s not the only right-back on the Rossoneri’s radar, though. They are also pursuing Wilfried Singo, Fabrizio Romano reports. He wouldn’t be too expensive because his contract is up in 2024, and he doesn’t want to extend it.

Our Take on Milan and Fresneda

It’s interesting that they are working on a role that’s not a priority since Davide Calabria, Pierre Kalulu, and Alessandro Florenzi form an adequate trio, but the prodigy will easily turn into a bargain given the low costs and his upside.
