Milan Chief Gazidis Thanks Fans Ahead of Final Push

Milan CEO Ivan Gazidis praised the fans before the final home game against Atalanta: “We are all looking forward to this great match. I wish to thank our supporters because we will reach 1M presences at the stadium for the season Sunday. It is incredible, and it propelled us throughout the campaign.”

The executive talks to the club’s Twitch channel (via SportMediaset): “There will be 10k foreign fans on the stands against La Dea. We had visitors from 192 countries this year. We are a great family, with 500M faithful around the world. Everything is achievable with this kind of unity. I believe in this team, these players, and our ability to overcome the challenges. It is rare to have such a powerful sentiment and pride inside a club. There are some difficult bouts ahead of us, but we are capable and confident, and this also comes from the support we are constantly receiving.”

Gazidis visited the Milan squad Thursday: “I saw the players very focused, but also calm. We did not change our approach compared to the past. Their emotions are palpable, but they have a lot of quality too. It is paramount to take advantage of this great opportunity and stay positive. I did not sense any fear. There is major desire to make these two final steps. Stefano Pioli is always collected. He is a remarkable man, on top of a fantastic coach. We are all eager to win for him too because he is a special person.”
