Milan midfield talisman Sandro Tonali has emerged as one of the Rossoneri’s best buys in recent memory, etching himself as a concrete pillar in the center of midfield. Il Diavolo consider Tonali to be the future of the club’s midfield, expecting him to register a legacy similar to that of the legendary Andrea Pirlo.
His representative Giuseppe Riso spoke to Sky Sport Italia, furnishing Milan’s standing on the former Brescia man’s valuation. The Italian agent ranks Tonali’s worth high up with the best midfielders in the world.
“How much is he worth?” I don’t think Milan will set a price, but he’s worth as much as the most important midfielders in the world. So for now he’s worth a lot,” said Riso. (via MilanNews)
He was signed permanently by the Rossoneri last season for a transfer price of approximately €7m, after spending his initial loan season off on a tangent. The midfielder was particularly praised for taking a wage cut in order to materialize his across Lombardy – going from €1.6m net per season to €1.2m.
Tonali has a contract valid until June 2026 but Milan might just end up offering him improved terms of contract at the end of the season, given his stature as the future of the club’s midfield.
The young regista has appeared without interruption for the Milan giants this term, registering 29 appearances across all competitions.
