Milan Could Be Without Key Defender for Atletico Fixture

Milan centre-back Fikayo Tomori could miss their Champions League fixture against Atletico Madrid due to his hip injury.

The 23-year-old missed this weekend’s thriller against Fiorentina due to the injury and according to Sky (via Calciomercato), he trained separately today and his chances of playing on Wednesday look slim.

Tomori has been a key player for the Rossoneri, featuring in 16 matches across all competitions this season so far. The former Chelsea defender has done pretty well at the back and his absence was felt during this weekend’s 4-3 defeat to Fiorentina.

Stefano Pioli will be hoping that Tomori is fit enough to at least feature against Atleti, if not start. The Rossoneri  are currently fourth in their Champions League group with just one point from four matches so far. They need to win their remaining fixtures and hope that the other matches go their way in order to stand a chance of advancing to the knockout stages.
