Milan Could Move for Bologna Star Regardless of Krunic

Milan could sign Nicolas Dominguez notwithstanding what happens with Rade Krunic. Fenerbahce’s offer has fallen well short of his price tag so far. Bologna ask for a sizeable sum even though the contract of the Argentine runs out in 2024.

Per TuttoSport, the Felsinei want €15M to part ways with their staple. They believe he’ll re-up if he doesn’t join a big team. Selling the Bosnian international would expedite the deal, but the Rossoneri could proceed anyway.

On top of Dominguez, Milan are eyeing Morten De Roon and Monaco’s Youssouf Fofana for the position. The veteran would be very functional, but Atalanta are in no mood to sell.

Stefano Pioli dished on Krunic after the first edition of the Trofeo Silvio Berlusconi against Monza (via Calciomercato).

“I like the midfield as is. I think it’s complete already. Do you think I would field a player that doesn’t practice well or is thinking about moving? His attitude suggests otherwise. Facts matter. He has never made a mistake on that front.”

Our Take on Milan and Dominguez

Despite what the coach might believe, they should definitely onboard another man. A true deep-lying playmaker would enhance the whole team, but those are very expensive. The Bologna stalwart isn’t that, but he’s a solid all-around contributor and would mesh well with their newcomers. His price is high given the situation, though.
