Milan Define Agreement to Sign Long-Term Target

After Christian Pulisic, Milan will add another United States star to their squad after agreeing a deal for Valencia’s Yunus Musah. According to Fabrizio Romano, the 20-year-old will arrive in Italy next week to undergo medical examinations before signing a five-year contract.

Despite Valencia’s firm resilience at the start of the summer, Musah’s unwavering desire to join Milan has tipped the scales in Stefano Pioli’s favor. The Serie A big guns will part with €20 million, including add-ons, to land one of the most highly-rated midfield prospects in Europe’s top-five leagues.

Musah has flourished at Valencia since linking up with the club’s youth academy in 2019. He left Arsenal as a teenager to embark on a career in La Liga, which has proved a life-defining decision. The versatile midfielder has developed into one of the most promising youngsters at the Estadio de Mestalla.

As a hard-working midfielder, Musah was a permanent first-team fixture at Mestalla under three different managers last term. His endless work rate helped Los Che keep hold of their top-flight status by the skin of their teeth. But the USMNT starlet wants to challenge for the titles.

Milan can provide that. Pioli’s new-look squad appears more than capable of fighting for major silverware. Musah will become the third midfield signing this summer after Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tijjani Reijnders. He’ll have his countryman Pulisic to help him adjust to the new surroundings.
