Milan Eager to Sign Promising Roma Winger Nicolò Zaniolo

After a relatively quiet transfer window from the Rossoneri, Milan are keen on obtaining reinforcements as they set their sights on Roma’s promising star Nicolò Zaniolo.

According to Milan News, Jose Mourinho considers the young Italian as a vital asset within the future of the Giallorossi as his profile permits him to fit seamlessly within the “Special One’s” 3-5-2 formation. However, it seems like Mourinho’s admiration for the star winger may not be enough to keep him at the Stadio Olimpico until his contract expires in the summer of 2024.

As it stands, Roma are currently facing a financial debt of 265M after their lucrative amount of spending over the past 18 months. If the Giallorossi fail to attain a Champions League qualifying spot at the end of this season, the club will most likely have no other choice but to sell one of their star players in order to gain extra liquidity.

As a result, Milan are monitoring the situation very closely as they are enthusiastic about the possibility of luring the Italian international to the Stadio San Siro next summer.

So far this season, Nicolò Zaniolo has not been in the best run of form as the Italian winger has only scored two goals and provided one assist in 19 games played for the Giallorossi  throughout this year’s current Serie A campaign.

However, with the rumors looming around Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s future with Il Diavolo, Milan strongly believe that Zaniolo would be a fine successor of the Swedish veteran and would fit perfectly along side Rafael Leao through the use of his peripheral vision, his mesmerizing dribbling skills, and prolific finishing in front of goal.
