Milan Eager to Sign Tottenham Stopper Japhet Tanganga

As negotiations with the Manchester United outcast Eric Bailly seem to be held to stalemate, the Rossonerri are set to launch a bid for Conte’s promising defender Japhet Tanganga.

As of right now, Pioli’s squad is extremely light within the centre-back position as Milan’s crucial defenders Simon Kjaer and Fikayo Tomori are both held at bay due to injury. As a result, Milan are set to focus all their attention on signing Tanganga for reinforcements as Maldini, Milan’s sporting director, firmly believes that the promising English defender can play a pivotal role within the second half of the season, as well as throughout the long-term project of the Italian giants.

Since graduating from the Tottenham academy, Tanganga has flourished under the helm of Mourinho and Conte as the 22 year-old defender has made 22 appearances for the Premier league giants.

According to The Sun, Tottenham’s sporting director Fabio Paratici has placed a £21M price-tag for the England international defender. Having only made eight premier league starts this season, the promising centre-back is open to the idea of potentially leaving Conte’s squad to seek more playing time on the pitch.

With less than two weeks remaining within the winter transfer window, Milan are keen to speed up the negotiations as they view Tanganga as a valuable asset through his versatility to play either as a full-back or a central defender, his aggression within the last line of defence, and his ability to play out of the back with great precision.
