Milan Explore Possibility of Signing Real Madrid Outcast

After being linked to Real Madrid duo Isco and Marco Asensio, Milan have now been touted to move for another Blanco in Dani Ceballos. The departure of Franck Kessie to Barcelona leaves a big gap to fulfill for the Rossoneri in midfield, making it a priority. Taking that into account, they have slowly reignited interest in the Spanish outcast, according to reports from Goal.

The source mentions the Italian champions’ interest in luring the ex-Arsenal man, along with his boyhood club Real Betis. This is not the first time they have been linked with the Spanish midfielder, who appeared just 18 times for Madrid the previous season.

His place in Carlo Ancelotti’s outfit is not firm, but despite that, it is understood that he prefers to remain in Spain, with Betis being his preferred destination. He has one more year left on his contract at the Bernabeu, where he would like to stay. However, he will first communicate with his Italian coach to understand where he stands regarding his future.

Milan and Real Madrid share excellent relations stemming from the deals for Theo Hernandez and Brahim Diaz, taking advantage of which the Rossoneri could materialize a move for Ceballos in the coming weeks. Crosstown adversaries Inter have also explored the possibility of onboarding him in the past as well. A price tag of €15/20M falls upon the midfielder’s head, making him a viable option among a host of other possibilities, including Hakim Ziyech and long-time target Charles De Ketelaere.
