Milan Aim at Double Swoop from Chelsea and Villarreal

Milan are zeroing in on Samuel Chukwueze and Cristian Pulisic to shore up their wings. The two aren’t necessarily mutually exclusive if their price tags aren’t too rich. The Rossoneri hope to get the latter for a relatively low sum but are currently being outbid.

Per The Athletic, Olympique Lyonnais proposed €25M for the USMNT ace. The sum satisfies Chelsea, but they have to convince the player, who’s keener on transferring to Italy, ESPN reports (via Virgilio). Il Diavolo’s latest bid amounted to just €14M.

Milan are in a similar spot for Chukwueze and Pulisic. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, they tendered €20M for the Nigerian international. Instead, Villarreal demanded €25M plus add-ons, so there’s a considerable gap to close.

The Rossoneri could offload Junior Messias, Alexis Saelemaekers, and Ante Rebic to make room for the additions. The outcasts have struggled to find real suitors so far, Sportitalia informs.

Our Take on Milan, Pulisic, and Chukwueze

Bringing in the duo would be ideal as, on top of an upgrade on the right wing, they lack a proper deputy for Rafael Leao. Both can feature on the left flank too. It remains to be seen whether playing hardball will have the desired effect or cost them some good opportunities.
