Milan have been suffering from the lack of personnel on field due to injuries and suspensions – something that has prompted Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara to look for reinforcements up front.

One name from Anfield has emerged as a potential transfer. According to a report from TUTTOmercatoweb, Liverpool ace Divock Origi is being sighted by the Rossoneri, but the Milan natives aren’t the only club in contention for his signature.

Atalanta are also in the race for Origi’s services, especially considering Luis Muriel’s possible departure from Bergamo. However, the Belgian’s salary cap of €4m at Anfield is something that will deter Gian Piero Gasperini’s side from making a move for him.

Milan are eyeing Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s direct replacement, although the big Swede himself is keen on extending his stay at San Siro.

Origi’s role under Jurgen Klopp has been inconsistent this season. He has appeared just 10 times, scoring 5 goals and providing 2 assists in approximately 400 minutes of game time. His contract with the Reds expires in June 2022, allowing him to begin talks with a potential club in January.
