Milan Eye Olympique Lyonnais Prodigy in Kalulu-Styled Transfer

A new era is about to begin at Milan with Investcorp’s takeover of the club ahead of the 2022/23 season. With new owners arrives a whole new budget that is expected to change the face of the team, but with the backend management of Paolo Maldini, Ricky Massara and Geoffrey Moncada to stay put.

One of the main objectives of Milan is to enhance the number of youth talents in the team and here emerges the name of Lyon midfielder Maxence Caqueret, according to Calciomercato. In a similar Pierre Kalulu-styled effort, the Rossoneri management wants to being in Caqueret and make him an integral part of Milan’s midfield in the future.

The 22-year-old midfielder sees his contract with the French giants expire in the summer of 2023 and could be available for less than his €20m transfermarkt valuation.

He is expected to directly replace Tiemoue Bakayoko in the Rossoneri ranks. Moreover, with four seasons of professional first-team experience, Caqueret could be find himself in Stefano Pioli’s starting eleven sooner rather than later if a deal materializes.

Caqueret is also on the radar of Leicester City as Youri Tielemans’ successor in midfield.
