Milan Facing Competition from Real Madrid to Sign Man United Fullback

Milan and Real Madrid are discussing multiple players, but they are also dueling for the same target. Carlo Ancelotti instructed the Merengues to try acquiring Diogo Dalot from Manchester United. The negotiation between the two European giants has yet to start though, Calciomercato.com reports.

The Rossoneri would like to have the Portuguese international back after the loan spell. They want to use the same formula, adding an option to buy. On the other hand, the Red Devils would prefer to sell him right away for €15M. The veteran Italian coach was after the defender during his time at Everton too, the site adds.

If they could not get Dalot, Milan would likely bring in Alvaro Odriozola to back up Davide Calabria. The Spaniard is expendable, more so if Real Madrid get another fullback. The talks with the Galacticos involve also Brahim Diaz and Luka Jovic.

In other roles, Milan are closing in on a new agreement with Brescia for Sandro Tonali. The Rondinelle could grant a discount compared to the €15M fee previously agreed upon. Two youngsters might be in the deal, although in different fashion and timing. Giacomo Olzer could move right away and permanently, while Lorenzo Colombo would do it later in the window and on loan, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs. He is currently the only healthy center-forward on the roster, and Stefano Pioli needs him for the pre-season camp.

On top of Tommaso Pobega, Milan are considering selling Jens-Petter Hauge for a good offer. Eintracht Frankfurt and Wolfsburg could come close to matching their €15M evaluation, Calciomercato.com reports.
