Milan Improve Their Bids for Fofana and Emerson Royal

Despite some issues and delays, Milan aren’t moving on from Emerson Royal and Youssouf Fofana. On the contrary, they have further raised their offers to try to bring them in as soon as possible, ideally by the end of next week, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.

The will of the two players works in their favor. The gap between their proposal and Tottenham’s request has shrunk to just one million. The Spurs are famously hard to deal with, but the fullback is pushing to flee. There shouldn’t be surprises about the outcome.

While Emerson Royal is very close, Milan need more than a nudge to finally bag Fofana. He has just returned from vacation and resumed training. He won’t hold out to force his way out. Director Thiago Scuro recently said they were willing to keep him, but that’s more of a negotiating tactic than a real intention.

West Ham complicated the Rossoneri’s plan with a substantial bid, but the midfielder doesn’t like the destination. The Serie A side put more money on the table, coming close to what Juventus paid for Khephren Thuram. They await an answer by the weekend.

Instead, Lazar Samardzic is significantly more distant from Milan than Emerson Royal and Youssouf Fofana. There’s a gulf between the bid and the request. At best, it’ll be a late deal if his valuation decreases.

In other roles, the Rossoneri have offered half a million to have Simone Scuffet on loan from Cagliari with an option to buy. Andrea Consigli is also an option. Instead, they need to part ways with Luka Jovic to sign a new striker.
