Despite the obstacles, Milan haven’t turned away from Joshua Zirkzee for the time being. His participation in Euro 2024 has paused the negotiation. It’s stuck on the commissions for his agent. The Rossoneri will continue working on it, Gianluca Di Marzio informed.
At this stage, the competition is coming only from other Italian sides. Bologna haven’t abandoned hopes of convincing the player to stay for another season. In any case, Milan haven’t set their sights on different strikers for now while they try to unblock the Zirkzee deal. According to Corriere dello Sport, the most realistic alternative is Serhou Guirassy, who has a €17.5M release clause. However, he might not be an option for long since he has a few suitors.
As for different roles, the Rossoneri are keen on Diogo Leite. Union Berlin ask for €15M. The management prefers taking care of different positions before going after a defender with more determination.
