According to intel from Goal Brasil, the Verdao do not intend to part ways with their star midfielder. Moreover, his €100M release clause that applies to foreign clubs is bound to turn suitors away despite the heightened interest. No matter the offer, Palmeiras reportedly consider Danilo to be off-limits at least until 2023 or 2024.

The Rossoneri aren’t the only European club monitoring his situation, as fellow Italian rivals Juventus and French giants Olympique de Marseille are also keeping close tabs. He was offered a contract extension by Palmeiras in February and is now tied to the club until December 2026. Danilo has a career total of 107 appearances since making his professional debut aged 17.
