Milan Intend to Inquire Palmeiras for Midfield Sensation

Milan are reportedly interested in bolstering their central midfield prowess and a Brazilian prodigy Danilo has appeared on their radar. The departure of Franck Kessié to Barcelona leaves regista Sandro Tonali and Ismael Benancer’s as the only two natural defensive midfielders. Taking that into consideration, the Rossoneri are monitoring the Palmeiras starlet.

According to intel from Goal Brasil, the Verdao do not intend to part ways with their star midfielder. Moreover, his €100M release clause that applies to foreign clubs is bound to turn suitors away despite the heightened interest. No matter the offer, Palmeiras reportedly consider Danilo to be off-limits at least until 2023 or 2024.

The Rossoneri aren’t the only European club monitoring his situation, as fellow Italian rivals Juventus and French giants Olympique de Marseille are also keeping close tabs. The two aforementioned clubs have not taken the step forward, but Milan plan to meet the representatives of Danilo to gather information about his future availability.

Amid all these reports, Premier League outfit Watford are willing to put in the extra effort and offer €15M – a proposal that is considered extremely low by the Sao Paulo club. Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid both have sent scouts in the past to observe and evaluate the youngster’s potential.

He was offered a contract extension by Palmeiras in February and is now tied to the club until December 2026. Danilo has a career total of 107 appearances since making his professional debut aged 17.
