Milan have been highly impressed by Kristjan Asllani in the most recent match at San Siro. They are plotting to go after him in the summer, challenging Inter in that regard. The Rossoneri view him as a sure-fire prospect, and the head-to-head encounter further cemented their opinion, Alfredo Pedullà informs.
The 20-year-old has been handed the keys of the Empoli midfield in the last six matches following the departure of Samuele Ricci, who transferred to Torino. The Azzurri have not missed a bit with the youngster running the team. Coach Aurelio Andreazzoli often showered him the praise. He cited their confidence in him as one of the main reasons behind the choice to cash in on his teammate early.
According to the transfer market expert, Milan could acquire Asllani and leave him on loan in Tuscany for another season to allow him to grow. They pulled off the same move with Bordeaux’s Yacine Adli last summer.
Inter are also eyeing the starlet, as they have struggled to find a proper back-up for Marcelo Brozovic in recent years. Both Milan sides would have to satisfy Empoli’s requests to purchase Asllani, though. They are already fairly conspicuous as they set his price tag at €10M. The suitors are not necessarily on the same page on his evaluation.
The Albanian-born was playing as a no.10 in Primavera. He quickly adapted to featuring as a deep-lying playmaker with the first team. He has logged five international appearances at the U-21 level in the last calendar year.
