After nabbing Alvaro Morata, Milan have set sights on another Spanish veteran who starred for Atletico Madrid, Mario Hermoso, who’s been out of contract for almost three weeks at this point. He has been attached to most of Serie A’s top sides.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Rossoneri’s officials touched base with the camp of the defender during their trip to the Spanish capital to seal the deal for the striker.
Milan learned about the demands by Hermoso and his entourage. They haven’t been met by any team at this stage. Napoli have laid the groundwork but prefer selling one or more center-backs before the final steps. Leo Ostigard is close to departing, which could suffice to get the signing across the finish line.
Inter kicked the tires on him but prioritize adding a young player. Whether they’ll rekindle their pursuit after missing out on Juan Cabal remains to be seen.
