Milan and Juventus Facing Stiff Competition for PSG Ace

Milan and Juventus have emerged as potential destinations for unsettled Paris Saint-Germain defender Nordi Mukiele. But as per RMC journalist Fabrice Hawkins, perennial Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have joined the race.
After tumbling down the pecking order at the Parc des Princes, Mukiele could leave Ligue 1 in January. The 26-year-old has featured only 11 times for PSG this season and could be allowed to depart on a cut-price deal. That’s music to the Italian sides’ ears. Both Milan and Juventus have explored this avenue.
However, Bayern’s involvement in this transfer tug-of-war is a game-changer. Despite landing Kim Min-Jae in the summer, the Bavarians are still on the lookout for a defensive reinforcement, with Mukiele catching Thomas Tuchel’s attention. Bayern’s financial prowess would probably rule Milan out of the race.
Juventus have already identified an alternative. Lille’s Tiago Djalo is now the Turin giants’ primary target. Known for their cost-effective proclivities, they’ve quickly discarded Mukiele, paving the way for Milan to pursue a deal for the former RB Leipzig star.
Milan must address their defensive crisis in the winter transfer window to bolster their top-four quest in Serie A. They’ve already recalled Matteo Gabbia from an ill-fated loan at Villarreal. But he’ll likely not be the club’s only acquisition at the back, with Mukiele touted as a genuine target.
Though Mukiele is not the only defender linked with Milan, he’s by far the most attractive name in the pool.
