Milan Keep Rebuffing Fenerbahce Advances for Midfielder

Fenerbahce continue to track Rade Krunic, but they have worked more on the player’s side than with Milan. The Rossoneri have yet to receive an official offer. In any case, their valuation is sizeable because they don’t want to lose him this late in the summer, Gianluca Di Marzio reports (via Tribuna).

The player is keen on the transfer because he’ll earn a lot more. Instead, his team would entertain only large bids. They want the Turkish club to come forward concretely quickly. Otherwise, they’ll take the Bosnian off the market due to the shortage of time to find a replacement.

Fenerbahce coach Ismail Kartal spoke about Krunic and his contribution to Milan in a recent presser (via Tuttocampo).

“You often don’t notice his work in the midfield, and that’s what we need. Either him or somebody similar.”

According to Calciomercato, the Rossoneri want €12/15M to part ways with their staple. The Yellow Canaries haven’t gotten close to those numbers. He’s currently a starter. That won’t change until Ismael Bennacer comes back from injury. The Algerian star is nursing a cartilage issue in his knee and might not be ready before January.

Should Krunic stay put despite the interest coming from Fenerbahce, Milan would likely hand him a new contract after the end of the transfer window.
