Milan are casting a wide net to find their striker of the future and, on top of a few other options, are keeping tabs on Rasmus Hojlund and Randal Kolo Muani. The Atalanta prodigy has scored in three consecutive matches to start 2023.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Danish forward isn’t for sale, and La Dea paid €17M for him last summer. However, things could change in the summer. It wouldn’t be the first time they cashed in on a talented youngster. Although, previous sales happened with a different ownership situation.

While Hojlund is a fresh addition to their shortlist, Milan already chased after Kolo Muani in the past. Agent Yvan Le Mee revaled to Sportitalia in recent days.

“They could have signed him on a free instead of Divock Origi. He joined Eintracht Frankfurt, which were quicker to act. It’s also a matter of PR, as it’s easier to add players from Liverpool. You have to be faster than the competition. Top Italian teams don’t go after these relatively unknown players.”

Our Take on Milan Eyeing Hojlund and Kolo Muani

The Rossoneri will eventually have to splurge in the role because Olivier Giroud isn’t getting any younger, and Origi isn’t cutting it. The Dane is blossoming quickly, but it’d take a massive investment to lure him away so soon after joining. While an addition is likely to come in the summer, it wouldn’t hurt to try pulling it off in January. It would address one of the many holes that have plagued them so far.
