Milan Legend Praises Inter’s Summer Transfer Window

Inter succumbed to the loss of star striker Romelu Lukaku and wing back talent Achraf Hakimi in the last transfer window – two players who played a key role in their run to the 2021/22 Scudetto title.

However, they recouped quality talent by bringing in the likes of Denzel Dumfries, Edin Dzeko, Hakan Calhanoglu and Joaquin Correa for rather relatively cheap transfers.

The club’s apparent poor financial position prompted the necessary steps and one Rossoneri legend believes that the Nerazzurri have fared well in a frenzied transfer window.

Italy, Milan and Lazio legend Alessandro Nesta believes his ex-rivals have maneuvered well throughout the summer.

Speaking to Corriere della Sera, Nesta said: “They lost a lot but they also replaced well. They remain a strong team, and Simone Inzaghi is a very good coach.”

He also provided a diplomatic and vague answer when asked about who may win the Serie A title this year.

“The truth is that there are many clubs who could win it this year,” he said.
