Milan Could Get Financial Boost from Castillejo Sale to Foot Adli Signing

Milan might soon finalize another departure after Jens-Petter Hauge and Mattia Caldara. Getafe are preparing an official bid to acquire Samuel Castillejo and visited with his agent in Madrid yesterday. They have come to terms on his contract and will start negotiating with the Italian club, Calciomercato.com informs.

The Rossoneri are more than happy to part ways with the winger. He had received interest from other La Liga clubs but rejected them all, up until Getafe won him over. Milan ask for €8/10M for the attacker. They will probably have to settle for less, the site suggests.

Castillejo joined in 2018 for €21M from Villarreal. He has accumulated 108 appearances in the last 3 seasons, scoring 10 goals and providing 13 assists. Alexis Saelemaekers unseated him and outplayed him in the last two campaigns. Alessandro Florenzi could take care of that role too if the deal with Roma went through.

Milan are set to reinvest the sum in Yacine Adli. Bordeaux president Gerard Lopez told RMC Sport yesterday: “It is true that they are after him. There are always some arrivals and some departures during the transfer market. They are in a good position. We are discussing, and we will see whether this transfer could be completed in the next few days.”

According to journalist Carlo Pellegatti, the management and the coaching staff see Adli as an alternative to Ismael Bennacer rather than a no.10. Les Girondins want €12M for the youngster, but the front office is working to decrease their demands, Il Giornale informs.
