Milan Looking to Replace Backup Keeper at End of Season

According to Calciomercato, Milan will likely see back-up keepers Ciprian Tatarusanu and Antonio Mirante depart the club at the end of the season.

As a result, the Rossoneri will be searching for a new second string goalkeeper. They are looking at Fiorentina’s Pietro Terracciano and Atalanta’s Marco Sportiello.

The former is the preferred, playing regular playing time with his current employers. So far this season, Terracciano has played six times, keeping a clean sheet in his most recent outing.

Sportiello is backup for Juan Musso at Atalanta, coming on for the Argentinian in their 1-0 success at Roma last time out. It was Sportiello’s only appearance this season for la Dea.

Maignan has started every match for Milan this season and is France’s number two.

Current Milan second string keeper Tatarusanu has played seven competitive matches for the team. The 36-year-old came from Lyon in the summer ahead of the 2020/21 season.
