Milan Make Contact with Arsenal Defender as Well

Milan intend to eventually acquire a left-footed center-back this summer and are ready to reignite their interest in Jakub Kiwior. Juventus are tracking him as well. The Rossoneri were after him before he transferred from Spezia to Arsenal. They already tried to bring him back to Serie A in previous windows, Calciomercato relays.

Their sporting director Geoffrey Moncada recently reached out to Fair Sport, the agency that represents him. The main issue for the suitors is that the Gunners don’t consider him expendable. It’ll take a major offer to persuade them.

Milan will turn their attention toward the defense once finally signing a new center-forward, and Kiwior and Union Berlin’s Diogo Leite are the early options on their shortlist. They no longer seem interested in Brest’s Lilian Brassier, whom they pursued in January. He’s closer to Olympique Marseille and Bologna.

The 24-year-old Pole moved to Arsenal in a €20M deal in January 2023. He has featured 38 times since and has routinely played as a left-back in the second half of last season. Instead, he has starred in 39 Serie A matches, occasionally also as a defensive midfielder. He has 24 caps with his national team.

Our Take on Milan and Kiwior

It’s never easy to buy from the Premier League, especially from clubs that don’t need to sell. The Rossoneri and the Old Lady will need help from the defender, who’ll have to force his way out. His side would have no reason to lose a valuable rotational piece otherwise.
