Milan are searching for a new center-back and a new striker and are ready to revisit two of their old targets in those roles, Chelsea’s Benoit Badiashile and Lille’s Jonathan David. They are on great terms with both sides. A few elements could work in their favor, TuttoSport relays.
The Frenchman continues to have a limited role, mainly due to injuries. He has starred on just 13 occasions this campaign. He was paid €38M after blossoming with Monaco but hasn’t lived up to expectations in London. On the other hand, he has an extra-long contract until 2030. The Blues might prefer selling other center-backs.
🔵🇫🇷 Chelsea are currently not planning for Benoit Badiashile exit in the summer.
Chalobah could be on the move, that is the expectation; no plans on Badiashile so far.

Milan should find more fertile ground for David than for Badiashile. The striker is tied to Lille only until 2025. Les Dogues will have to choose between selling him next summer or risk losing him for nothing. There have been no traces of a possible renewal.
The Canadian star has been on the Rossoneri’s radar for quite some time. He has bounced back after a slow start. He’s up to 22 goals and 7 assists in 38 matches.
Our Take on Milan, Badiashile, and David
They’d be quality additions but are both unlikely. The defender figures to have a high price tag, and his wages are conspicuous. Moreover, they should steer clear of injury-prone players after what happened this season.
The striker is very different from their preferred targets at the position. In addition, they should avoid doing business with Lille while there’s an ongoing investigation on Elliott and RedBird.
