Milan Moved to Sign Stuttgart Sensation in January

Milan have accelerated their plans to find a new deputy striker considering Luka Jovic’s struggles and made an attempt for Serhou Guirassy, even though coach Stefano Pioli indicated that they were set at the position in his mind, Sky Italy reported.

The marksman has already hit the net 14 times in the Bundesliga this season. He trails just Harry Kane in the scorers’ chart. His contract envisages a release clause that allows him to transfer for a sum below market value considering his outstanding performances. However, he prefers waiting till the summer, when he’ll have more landing spots.

Therefore, Milan would have to sway Guirassy to convince him to join in the winter. The Rossoneri aren’t hell-bent on adding a new center-forward but would do it if they could purchase somebody they liked for an affordable fee.

The alternative to the Stuttgart star is Mehdi Taremi, who’ll enter the final six months of his deal with Porto at the start of the new year. The Rossoneri are also keeping tabs on Lorenzo Colombo, who’s hitting his stride on loan at Monza.

Our Take on Milan and Guirassy

Jovic has been a non-entity, and it wouldn’t be hard to offload him since he joined for free. If they don’t trust Noah Okafor as a no.9, which seems to be the case, they should definitely go for it. The heavy minutes have done Olivier Giroud no favor.
