Milan Not Budging Despite PSG’s Offer for Star, Waiting for Bids for Leao

PSG are interested in Theo Hernandez, but Milan have no intention to sell their star left-back. On the contrary, the Rossoneri plan to open talks to extend and improve the contract of the defender. The French club made a move to sign him in early July, L’Equipe reports. However, their offer was not seriously taken into consideration.

Milan have more pressing matters now, but they want to reward Hernandez for his strong performances. He tallied 13 goals and 11 assists since moving to Serie A from Real Madrid. He is making just €1.5M per year, but the management is ready to give him a sizeable raise. Although, the parties have not come to terms yet, Marca relays. PSG did not find an opening when they reached out to his agents, Calciomercato.com informs.

While Hernandez will stay, Milan will listen to the offers for Rafael Leao. His agent Jorge Mendes is in talks with Wolverhampton, a team he has done business with multiple times in the past. Olympique Marseille chased after him early in the off-season, but they have then moved onto other targets. Borussia Dortmund are searching for attackers and are tracking him, the specialized site indicates.

It remains to be seen whether Leao would agree to move to Wolverhampton. Milan will consider only rich bids for the forward, as they paid almost €30M to acquire him from Lille two years ago. His price tag is €25M to avoid a loss. It is likely that just one between him and Jens-Petter Hauge will depart not to leave the front-line too short-handed, according to Tuttomercatoweb.
