However, first and foremost, they have to decide whether they want an attacking right-back to begin with. Paulo Fonseca alluded to balancing out Theo Hernandez’s aggressiveness with a defensive-minded player. Davide Calabria has been doing it for a few years, and they can turn to Pierre Kalulu too, especially if they spend big for another center-back like Strahinja Pavlovic. Two splashes in the back are unlikely.

Don’t buy Emerson Royal then. Milan oviously can’t afford him, so buy a lesser player for a cheaper price. If Spurs wanted to buy a Milan player, i’m sure Milan would want top dollar for that player. Most Spurs supporters are really bored with the Italian press keep going on about Emerson Royal. At the end of the day, put up or shut up.
