Milan Pass on the Opportunity to Sign Ex-Real Madrid Striker

Super-agent Fali Ramadani has reportedly offered out-of-favor Fiorentina striker Luka Jovic to Milan amid I Rossoneri’s pursuit of a new center-forward. But according to Calciomercato, the idea has not gone down well with Geoffrey Moncada, who has swiftly slammed the door shut for the Serbian underachiever.

It’s been one of the liveliest transfer windows in Milan’s recent history. As many as eight new players have passed through the San Siro gates, with a ninth coming in soon. Milan and Platense are on the verge of agreeing upon Marco Pellegrino’s switch to Serie A. His imminent arrival should quench Stefan Pioli’s thirst for a new defender.

While many expected that deal could drop the curtain on the seven-time European champions’ recruitment campaign, it may not be the case. Pioli is still in the market for Olivier Giroud’s deputy. The 36-year-old has reached the twilight of his professional career, though he remains an ever-reliable option in the final third.

But Giroud’s playing time may require careful management next term. With that in mind, Milan keep their eyes peeled for a potential late opportunity in the market. Ramadani hoped to benefit from the Italians’ ongoing search, but Jovic has failed to meet Pioli’s requirements.

Deemed surplus to requirements after the arrivals of Lucas Beltran and M’Bala Nzola, the former Real Madrid man is seeking a new home. He will have to continue looking, as Milan have no interest in paying his wages following his underwhelming first season in Serie A.
