Milan Plan Swap Deal to Bring in Udinese Forward

Having already dealt with the onboarding of new owners, Milan are now shortlisting talent at a quickfire pace, birthing links that one would have never expected beforehand. A new name has emerged in the Rossoneri wishlist to bolster attacking options ahead of next season.

According to exclusive reports by TuttoUdinese.it, Udinese forward Gerard Deulofeu is the name to appear is the crosshairs of Milan and it seems as though the 28-year-old fits perfectly into the transfer plans, given that the upper management is pondering to bring him in by giving away one of their own.

The swap deal is touted to involve Milan loanee Tommaso Pobega, who is currently plying his trade at Torino, to head to Udine.

Deulofeu has experienced an impressive season with the Friuli, scoring 12 goals and racking up 4 assists in 32 appearances. The La Masia youth product spent the latter half of the 2016/17 season on loan at San Siro with Milan, appearing 17 times in the red and black colours before heading back to his home club.

The former Everton and Watford winger’s contract in northeastern Italy expires only in the summer of 2024, and Milan might just have the chance to bring him back to San Siro with Pobega heading the other way. The Rossoneri would not only have the opportunity to reduce Udinese’s asking price for Deulofeu, but also relieve Pobega from their squad as Torino are not expected to retain his services.
