Milan President Scaroni Projects High Finish, Praises Technical Director Maldini

Milan president Paolo Scaroni has overseen a partially successful spell in his role so far and believes that Milan are on the right path to establish themselves back in the top of Serie A.

Speaking on the TuttiConvocati programme on Radio24 (via Calciomercato), the executive shared his thoughts on a number of different topics regarding the Rossoneri, including the fact that the club management has projected for a top four finish rather than the Scudetto title.

When quizzed on what he expects from Milan this season, he said: “Scudetto? It is true that we must pursue dreams, I am pleased to record that the coach and players have great ambitions. I am a business man, we have written in this year’s budget to qualify for the Champions League, if we make it even better.”

He went on to praise legendary Milan defender Paolo Maldini, who is currently serving as the club’s technical director.

“Great sportsman, Milan player, gentleman. He learned to be a manager, the Maldini of today is much more of a manager than a year ago. He has embarked on a path of maturation and his path continues ,” he commented.

Milan sit second in the Serie A table with 19 points, two behind Napoli and two ahead of Inter. All three teams remain undefeated in the league.
