Milan Prioritizing Tomori Deal with Chelsea While Assessing Loanees

Milan have relied on few players on loan this season and will have to make a decision on whom to retain for the next one. They want to keep Fikayo Tomori, but the €28M option to buy him from Chelsea is considered a little high. They will try to ask for a discount, but they could be ready to make an effort as they saved €15M by not signing a center-back in January already, Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

The situation about the other loanees is less defined. Brahim Diaz has shown better as of late, but there is not a set clause in his deal. In this case, the front office would like to have him on loan from Real Madrid for another campaign in order to fully evaluate him. The Spanish attacker has featured in 31 matches so far, notching 5 goals and 3 assists.

Diogo Dalot has become a regular recently due to the fact that Davide Calabria and Theo Hernandez have missed time with physical problems. However, he is considered the least likely player to stay in Milan as he too joined on a simple loan. Manchester United are keeping tabs on him and coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently stated that they are ready to welcome him back to the squad.

Soualiho Meite will instead be assessed till May. He has gotten consistent minutes because of the injury of Ismael Bennacer, but his performances have been pretty average. The Rossoneri have a €8M option to sign him permanently from Torino.
