Milan Prioritizing Chase of Three Left-Footed Attackers

Milan plot to add a couple of attackers to bolster their frontline ahead of the 2022/2023 season. The Rossoneri have suspiciously yet to announce to have bought out Junior Messias even though they have reportedly agreed with Crotone.

As per La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Scudetto winners have three names atop their wish list. Charles De Ketelaere would be their prototypical signing considering his talent, low wages and versatility. On the other hand, the demands by Club Brugge are hefty, around €30M. They would have to spend most of their budget on him. Moreover, the competition from Premier League sides is growing.

Hakim Ziyech would likely join on an initial loan, freeing up resources Milan could use on other attackers or positions. He would not be mutually exclusive with the Belgian prodigy, as he is accustomed to playing on the right flank. His wages are a tad high, but the deal could be closed quickly if Chelsea contributed.

That is the issue also for Paulo Dybala. The Rossoneri usually give their stars at most €4.5M per year. He will become a real target only once he will have lowered his request and Inter loosened their grip on him. He would fit better with Ziyech technically speaking but with De Ketelaere salary-wise. Marcos Asensio, Domenico Berardi and Nicolò Zaniolo are on the radar but less likely because of their costs.

Our Take on Milan Searching for Attackers

The decision of diverting the money to the offense has been made elsewhere, as the Italian champions were probably willing to splurge just for Sven Botman in the back. In any case, they can not go wrong with any of the names attached to them. They should prioritize the Club Brugge prodigy if they really have a chance to snatch him.
