Milan Ready to Resume Talks with Roma for Tammy Abraham

After booking the medical date for Emerson Royal, Milan will reportedly turn their attention to Roma center-forward Tammy Abraham. According to Calciomercato journalist Daniele Longo, the Rossoneri will soon open talks with the Giallorossi over the Englishman’s switch to the Stadio San Siro

Despite completing Alvaro Morata’s signing from Atletico Madrid shortly after EURO 2024, Milan remain in the market for attacking reinforcements. With Olivier Giroud gone for MLS and Luka Jovic failing to provide assurances in front of goal, Paulo Fonseca needs at least one more reliable attacking option.

It seems that Abraham is the Lombard club’s choice. Out of favor at Roma, the 26-year-old is enthusiastic about joining Milan. He has drawn inquiries from Everton, Leicester City, and Bournemouth. However, he prefers a switch to San Siro over a return to his homeland. Unfortunately for the former Chelsea star, the clubs have yet to agree on the formula.

Milan would ideally sign Abraham on loan with an option to buy, perhaps scared of the player’s fitness condition following a lengthy spell on the sidelines. On the other hand, Roma insist on including specific conditions that would trigger a mandatory buyout clause.

But, since all parties are keen to make the deal happen, negotiations should resume in good faith. Before pulling off an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur for Emerson, Milan had landed Strahinja Pavlovic and Morata. Therefore, Abraham could be the club’s fourth summer signing.

Monaco’s Youssouf Fofana is again a hot name on the Italians’ radar.
