Milan Reaping the Benefits of their New-Look Frontline

Milan desired to augment their firepower last summer, and their choices have paid off so far. While Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud shouldered their attack basically on their own in the past campaign, they have more fearsome contributors this season, TuttoSport relays.

The Rossoneri have bagged 15 goals in 8 matches. An attacker has either scored or provided an assist in 14 of them. The only exception was Fikayo Tomori’s tap-in against Cagliari.

Giroud and Leao remain the main cogs of the Milan frontline, but Christian Pulisic and Noah Okafor have made their presences felt too. The veteran and the Portuguese winger have combined for seven scores and seven helpers thus far.

The USMNT stable busted out of a short dry spell in the Lazio clash, returning to the stat sheet after five games for his third goal of the season. Okafor has found the target twice already despite his limited opportunities.

The Rossoneri are still waiting for Samuel Chukwueze and Luka Jovic to provide their contribution too, which could add more levels to their strike force.

Our Take on the Milan Attack

Pulisic couldn’t have gotten off to a better start. Chukwueze should come along soon enough, adding an extra layer of pace that will further stretch the pitch. They’ll keep rolling if they don’t skip a beat even when Giroud isn’t on point.
