Milan Register Interest in Wolves Attacking Talent

Milan have registered an unusual interest in a Wolverhampton Wanderers youth product Morgan Gibbs-White. The highly-rated playmaker is touted to be one of Wolves’ best to emerge in recent seasons, currently finishing a full season on loan at Sheffield United where he racked 12 goals and 10 assists from 37 appearances.

According to The Athletic, Milan have ‘tentatively enquired’ for the 22-year-old talent, having scouted him during his breakthrough season at Sheffield.

He played his final game for the Blades on Tuesday night against Nottingham Forest in the play-off semi-final, scoring his side’s opener but eventually missing the decisive spot kick in the penalty shootout. Despite the terrible end, Gibbs-White has experienced an extremely productive stint at the Championship club.

His performances garnering attention from clubs outside England, but Wolves coach Bruno Lage might just push the attacker to stay back at Molineux if an offer does arrive, in the view of a starting eleven place and more playing time next season in the Premier League. Additionally, Wolves could hand the attacker an extension deal involving a ’10-figure fee and a hefty sell put clause’.

Milan are reportedly keen on reinforcing their youth ranks, and Gibbs-White’s name has only just appeared on the radar. The youngster is known for his versatility in the final-third, having played as both a playmaker and second-striker for Sheffield the entire season.
