Milan Rumored to Have Been Offered Talented Ajax Defender

Milan have added another defender to their shortlist of options for January. Some intermediaries proposed to them Ajax center-back Perr Schuurs. The Rossoneri stated they would not necessarily make an addition in the role despite their injury woes. On the other hand, Pierre Kalulu and Matteo Gabbia struggled yesterday in the Spezia game.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Schuurs has a €15-20M price tag. He has featured 13 times this season. Coach Erik ten Hag seems to prefer Timber and Lisandro Lopez in the same position. Therefore, the Dutch defender could be on his way out, joining Milan or another club, either on loan or on a permanent deal.

The 22-year-old moved to Ajax from Fortuna Sittard for €2M in 2018. He has racked up 79 appearances over the last few seasons, scoring 3 goals. Unlike the previous campaigns, he has not been a full-time starter in the current one.

There does not appear to be a clear frontrunner in the Milan hunt for a defender just yet. The Rossoneri are in talks with Monaco to buy out Pietro Pellegri and send him to Torino for the next six months, Calciomercato.com reports. While it will solidify their bond with the Granata, it is not enough to nudge Bremer towards them. He is set to be in the middle of a bidding war next summer.

According to Sky, the channel of communications with PSG for Abou Diallo is open, while that is not the case with Manchester United for Eric Bailly. However, the French club is prioritizing a permanent sale at the moment.
